VILLAGE SPOTLIGHT Overnight Parking Restrictions Will Begin December 1Seasonal overnight parking restrictions will take effect December 1 through March 31. Last year, the Village Board passed a local law moving the start date of the seasonal restriction from November 1 to December 1, which will be especially helpful to those with visiting family during the Thanksgiving holiday. Beginning December 1, on-street parking is prohibited from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Village roadways. This restriction facilitates snow and ice fighting operations by having streets free of vehicles during the overnight hours and thereby allowing curb-to-curb plowing and salting operations.

VILLAGE SPOTLIGHT Annual Leaf Collection Ends December 5The Village’s annual leaf collection program is running until Friday, December 5. Leaves should be raked to the area between the curb or pavement edge and the property line. Leaf piles must be free of all other waste or it will not be collected, which means no branches, twigs, or other yard waste. To maintain safe streets and help the Village to complete its work efficiently, the Village Code prohibits depositing leaves onto the roadway. If you have any questions, contact the Department of Public Works at 914-722-1150.
