Scarsdale to Honor Veterans at Annual CeremonyJoin the Village of Scarsdale for its annual Veterans Day ceremony on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 10:30 AM in Boniface Circle Park. The program will honor the service and sacrifice of U.S. military veterans with participation from local officials, veterans, scouts, and community members. The ceremony will feature a flag raising, wreath laying, and remarks reflecting on the meaning of Veterans Day. The event will open and close with the Presentation and Retiring of Colors by the Scarsdale Fire & Police Honor Guard. All are welcome to attend and show their appreciation for those who have served. |

“Assessment 101” Demystifies Property Valuation ProcessAt the Nov. 4 work session, Village/Town Assessor Victoria Sirota delivered a valuable “Assessment 101” presentation to the Board of Trustees and community members. Her overview explained how property assessments are calculated, when and how residents can file appeals, and key dates in the annual assessment calendar. Thanksgiving Celebration for Seniors – November 20Scarsdale Edgemont Family Counseling Service and the Scarsdale Recreation Department’s Senior Club will host a Thanksgiving Celebration for seniors on Thursday, November 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Girl Scout House. A $5 donation is requested, and lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by Friday, November 14, to Stacey Cook, Aging in Place Coordinator, at scook@sfcsinc.org or 914-732-3281. Upcoming Village Board Meetings and Work SessionsThe Village Board of Trustees will hold a Regular Meeting at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025 in Rutherford Hall. Members of the public may attend in person or via Zoom. The agenda includes a Public Hearing to consider a proposed local law amending Chapter 251 of the Village Code concerning the processing of site plan applications and referrals. On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., the Board will convene a Work Session in the 3rd Floor Meeting Room to conduct a pre-budget discussion on paving, sidewalks, and stormwater infrastructure.
