meeting recap September 9, 2025 Village Board Work Session & Meeting SummaryOn September 9, 2025, the Village Board held a work session and regular meeting. The work session focused on replacing the Police Department’s decades-old dispatch and records system; Chief DelBene recommended (see memo) Central Square’s Pro Suite as the most cost-effective sole-source option, with a resolution to be considered September 30. At the regular meeting, the Mayor offered remarks on Labor Day, Patriot Day, and school safety, and a public hearing was held on a proposed law to add commercial tree licenses to Chapter 281 of the Village Code; the Board will public feedback before voting at a future meeting. The Board reappointed Town Assessor Victoria Sirota and Toby Levin to the Board of Assessment Review, appointed Melissa Chai to the Arts Advisory Council, and passed resolutions authorizing an AT&T lease, scheduling a hearing on downtown parking regulations, amending advisory board eligibility, approving a SCADA maintenance contract, and executing traffic safety and intermunicipal agreements with Westchester County. The meeting concluded with public comment and announcement of the future meeting schedule. Watch the full meetings and view agendas here.

in service to scarsdale SPD and SFD Mark Promotions, New Hires, and a Historic FirstMonday, September 8, was a landmark day for Scarsdale’s Police and Fire Departments, marked by promotions, new hires, and a bit of history. SPD celebrated the promotion of Patricia Arcesi to lieutenant — the first woman in Scarsdale history to hold that rank. Arcesi, who joined SPD in 2012 after starting her law enforcement career in Mount Kisco, previously served as a detective and sergeant. Three SPD members were also promoted: Justin Wilder and Nicholas Kringas to sergeant, and Antony Galindo to detective and Computer Systems Administrator. SPD further welcomed three new officers: Coleman Murphy, Manuel Vega, and Philip Del Bene, each bringing prior NYPD, EMS, and public safety experience. SFD introduced its newest firefighter, Nicholas Camardella, a Greenburgh native and certified EMT who previously served as a Greenwich police officer. The Village congratulates all honorees and thanks them for their continued service to the community.
