VILLAGE SPOTLIGHT
County Tax Bills Due April 30 Have Been Sent to Residents

County Tax Bills were sent out on April 1 and are due Thursday April 30. Residents can pay tax bills online here.

Budget Public Hearing Set for April 14 Meeting

At the Village Board Work Session held on Tuesday, March 24, Village Manager Alexandra Marshall presented the FY2026-27 Tentative Budget to the Board of Trustees.

At the Board of Trustees Business Meeting, a public hearing on the budget was scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, at 8 p.m. at Village Hall. Residents who wish to comment on the budget may do so in person or on Zoom during the April 14 meeting.

The process and details of creating the budget are summarized in a four-page letter by the Village Manager featured at the beginning of the budget document. You can watch the work session and business meeting videos here.

VILLAGE SPOTLIGHT
Seasonal Parking Restrictions Are Now Lifted

As of Wednesday April 1, 2026, residents and visitors may once again park on public streets and in Village-owned lots and garages between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM. The restriction, in place annually from December 1 through March 31, helps facilitate snow removal and winter street maintenance.

Formal Signing of LISWIC Intermunicipal Agreement 

On April 1, 2026, participating municipalities convened for a formal signing of the Intermunicipal Agreement re-establishing the Long Island Sound Watershed Intermunicipal Council (LISWIC). Village Manager Alexandra Marshall & Assistant Manager Emily Giovanni were in attendance representing the Village of Scarsdale. LISWIC is a partnership of municipalities that work together to address shared issues affecting the Long Island Sound watershed, such as flooding, stormwater, and water quality. Participation allows Scarsdale to coordinate regionally, share resources, and pursue funding opportunities that support environmental protection and infrastructure improvements.

SAFETY SPOTLIGHT
Workshop to Help Avoid Fraud and Scams on April 7

On Tuesday, April 7, from 10 to 11 a.m., a “Ways to Help Avoid Fraud and Scams” workshop will be presented by Chase at the Scarsdale Public Library. With fraud and scams on the rise, it’s important to be educated. Come learn how keeping organized can help keep you safe, how to spot common scams and what to do if you or a loved one is impacted by fraud or identity theft. The program is co-sponsored by Scarsdale Edgemont Family Counseling Service, the Scarsdale Public Library and the Junior League of Central Westchester. Register here.

Real Property Tax Exemption Application Deadline May 1  

The Office of Scarsdale Assessor Victoria Sirota would like to remind residents that the deadline to submit New and Renewal applications from Real Estate Taxes is Friday, May 1. State and local laws provide for the partial exemption of real estate taxes in certain categories to qualifying individuals only. SAFETY SPOTLIGHT
Drive-thru Prescription Drug Take Back Event on April 25

Scarsdale Action for Youth (SAY) and the Scarsdale Police Department are teaming up for a Prescription Drug Take Back event on April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Scarsdale Public Safety Building. This drive-thru event, which does not require parking, will allow residents to safely dispose of unused and expired medications. 

Items accepted include prescription medications, prescription patches, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, samples and pet medications. Items not accepted include sharps/needles, inhalers, lotions, liquids, ointments, hydrogen peroxide, aerosol cans and thermometers. Visit www.SAYscarsdale.org for more information.

ICYMI: Con Ed Transmission Main Project FAQ Online Now 

The Village has been made aware of concerns from members of the community regarding the Con Edison Walworth Avenue and Fox Meadow Road Transmission Main project, in which sections of some private sewer laterals were replaced where they crossed the gas main.

The Village has prepared a Frequently Asked Questions document that includes a project timeline and additional details for residents to review. The Village has been and is actively advocating for Con Edison to take additional responsibility in addressing these. The FAQ information is available on the Village Manager’s webpage here.
